New Family Book Planned

Do you know of a story you would like to share in the Ylönen family publications: on the website, in the newsletter, or in the book currently being planned? The story could be about, for example, a member of your family, a place where they lived, their occupations, hobbies, genealogy, or simply any memories you’d like to highlight.

Photos complement the stories.
You can take a photo of an old paper photograph with your smartphone and send the digital image to us. Please include the following information with the photos: who is in the photo, where it was taken, and the source of the photo. If possible, the information should also include a note specifying which family in the Ylönen family book is involved. Send your story and photos to the secretary by email: ylosenraija@gmail.com

Ylönen Family Meeting and Reunion 2025

Latest Ylönen family reunion was 2025 in Kangasniemi, Finland. Kangasniemi is one of the major Ylönen family locations. Almost 70 participants got together at Kangasniemi Middle School, also called Kankainen School. (Kangasniemen yläkoulu / Kankaisten koulu).

Ylönen Family Meeting and Reunion 2022

This year's family reunion was in Mikkeli, Finland at the old Kenkävero vicarage.
There were more than 40 members of the family society present. There were family members from the US and they had a possibility to meet their relatives at a family reunion. For the next three years, Vilho Ylönen will be the chairman of the board and Tuula Ylönen will be the secretary for the Ylönen Family Association.
